Want to be a Team Manager!
A Team Manager will have significant impact on the success of the Ringette season. While the Head Coach takes responsibility for everything that happens on the ice, the Manager essentially takes responsibility for everything off the ice. Often it is assumed the Manager is only a team administrator, however, the best managers provide leadership to the team and manage the people involved.
The Team Manager and the Head Coach must work together to establish the culture of the team, and establish the structure for the team. The Team Manager can also be the link between the team, Bow View Ringette, and Ringette Calgary.
Characteristics of a good Team Manager
• A leader
• Organized
• Good Communicator
• Good Listener
• Committed to the job
• Able to delegate work and then follow up to ensure completion
• Able to settle disputes and manage conflict
• Open to new ideas or concepts
